Andy Sywak is the former publisher of the Castro Courier neighborhood newspaper in San Francisco. His work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle and the East Bay Express among other publications. He also wrote a popular blog on the HBO show "The Wire." A native of Berkeley, he currently lives in Los Angeles.
